 SENIOR ASSOCIATE

James B. Glucksman
graduated from Cornell University in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He earned his law degree from Boston University in 1982 and is admitted to practice in the state of New York, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Glucksman has been associated with the firm for more than twenty-two years. Mr. Glucksman has handled novel and sophisticated litigation matters, and has been involved in reported decisions concerning federal and bankruptcy court jurisdiction, partnership termination issues, injunctions to protect affiliates of Chapter 11 Debtors under a plan, discrimination against debtors, and other bankruptcy issues.

Erica Feynman
is a 1999 graduate of the State University of New York at Albany, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Ms. Feynman is also a 2002 graduate of Hofstra University School of Law. At Hofstra, Ms. Feynman was a member of the 2002 Conrad B. Duberstein Bankruptcy Law Moot Court Competition team. Ms. Feynman is currently an assistant adjunct professor at Hofstra Law School and recently coached the 2005 Conrad B. Duberstein Bankruptcy Law Moot Court Competition team to a third place finish in the National Competition. Ms. Feynman has experience in the areas of commercial litigation, real estate and landlord-tenant law. She is admitted to practice in the courts for the State of New York, as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. She is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the New York State Bar Association and the Westchester County Bar Association.

Julie A. Cvek was admitted to practice in July 2005 and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.  Ms. Cvek represents clients in both corporate and consumer bankruptcy filings as well as out of court workouts. Some of Ms. Cvek’s corporate representations include the Red Robin Restaurant in Middletown, NY, a wholesale fish distributor at the Hunts Point Market in Bronx, New York, an elevator maintenance and construction company to the New York/ New Jersey Port Authority, and a medical services provider to underserved communities. Julie has also represented over 60 individuals in consumer bankruptcy filings.  She has assisted in authoring numerous articles, CLE publications and lectures. Ms. Cvek is the Assistance Secretary and 1st Vice Co-Chair of the New Lawyers Section of the Westchester County Bar Association. Julie sits on the Board of Directors of the Westchester Women’s Bar Association, where she Co-Chairs the Bankruptcy Committee and is a past Co-Chair of the Annual Dinner Committee.  Ms. Cvek is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation, and is an active alumni of Hofstra Law School.

Elan A. Gershoni
graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Environmental Science, and Geology.  He received his law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 2008 where he was a Richardson Scholar and president of the Bankruptcy Law Society.  Prior to working at Rattet Pasternak Mr. Gershoni served one year terms as the judicial law clerk to Judge William C. Hillman in the Bankruptcy Court of the District of Massachusetts and Judge Patricia D. Steele of the Virgin Islands > Superior Court, St. Croix Division.  During law school Mr. Gershoni interned for Judge Arthur J. Gonzalez in the Bankruptcy Court of the Southern District of New York and the United States Trustee's Office. Additionally, during law school, Mr. Gershoni served as a student counselor at Brooklyn Law School's Bankruptcy Clinic and at Project CLARO where he counseled indigent debtors.
